September 7, 2021 – Beaverton, Oregon – Syndicate Wine, LLC is thrilled to announce five custom Oregon wines, with labels featuring exclusive artwork from Oregon comic book publisher TidalWave Productions. The first four wines will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Syndicate Wine Bar in Beaverton, during a special tasting open to the public.

After the past year (and counting) of unprecedented events, we all need superheroes in our lives…and so do grapes! The wine industry was particularly hard hit in 2020, with forest fires impacting an already challenging year.

Recent times have challenged all of us, but also helped us realize unknown strength, endurance and optimism. In response, we partnered with Tidal Wave Productions to create a series of labels for Syndicate’s 2021 releases, imagining the varietals as superheroes.

Custom labels feature TidalWave Productions’ flagship character, the “10and Muse” started twenty years ago at Image Comics (another Oregon company). The comic launched at the sixth best-selling comic when it was released. The labels also have new wine-themed superheroes that are part of an upcoming comic book series featuring “10and Muse”.

We invite the public to join us in celebrating these new wines and the greater story they represent of perseverance and endurance against all odds. At the launch party, we’ll be showcasing four of the new wines – Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir Rosé – as part of a special flight, and also offering bottle sales. You can find more information about this event on our website or on various social media channels.

“I’m not only thrilled to bring together my two favorite hobbies, wine and comic books, but also to help another Oregon-based business during these strange times.” said TidalWave editor Darren G. Davis.
