Sharks announces two-year partnership with Accolade Wines

The Sharks have added another reputable partner to their family of companies with the announcement of a two-year association with Accolade Wines, one of Australia’s most recognized wine companies.

The announcement comes on the eve of the Sharks’ first NRL game at PointsBet Stadium for the 2022 season as they return to their spiritual home after a two-year absence.

Sharks chief executive Dino Mezzatesta was understandably excited about the new partnership, which will cover the club’s licensed games, events and premises, Sharks at Kareela.

“Accolade Wines represents some of Australia’s most recognized wine brands, we wanted a company that complemented our club, its members and its spectators to ensure a premium experience. We are delighted to welcome Accolade Wines to the Cronulla Sharks and we look forward to building year after year,” said Mezzatesta.

Likewise, Paul Moutzouris, Key Account Manager NSW for Accolade Wines, was delighted to add to their sponsorship portfolio by partnering with the Sharks.

“Accolade Wines is delighted to expand its NRL partnerships with the Sharks for the next two seasons,” Mr Moutzouris said. “Both brands have a strong history and connection with Australians, and we are very happy to be part of the club. With a new manager, new players and the return to PointsBet Stadium, we look forward to sharing our wine portfolio with the Cronulla Sharks and its spectators.

Based in Australia, Accolade Wines is one of the largest wine companies in the world.

Accolade’s diverse portfolio is made up of distinguished Australian wine brands such as Grant Burge, Hardys, St Hallett, Petaluma, Banrock Station and Katnook, as well as brands that are disrupting the global landscape such as House of Arras and Jam Shed.

The Australian operations alone employ over 800 people and deliver approximately 38 million cases to over 140 countries each year.

Just five days away from their first home game, the Sharks have also announced that Gema Catering will be the contract caterer at PointsBet Stadium for the next three seasons. Gema comes to the Sharks with extensive experience in stadium and event catering.
