Power star Wines slams Crows for ‘DNA’ and ‘sense of entitlement’

Port Adelaide midfielder Ollie Wines has bullied his Crosstown rivals, saying he hates the Crows and what they stand for.

It’s a big week for clubs in South Australia ahead of Saturday’s Showdown. Adelaide have a chance to win both annual derbies for the first time since 2017 following their Round 3 triumph.

The Power have a point to prove after the heartbreak of Jordan Dawson’s post-Siren goal, and Wines’ comments suggest the club will bring plenty of heat to the contest.

Port Adelaide assistant Chad Cornes said SEN SA breakfast earlier in the week that he hates the Crows, and Wines shared a similar mindset.

“I won’t get too personal about the news at this point, but yeah I (hate them),” the medalist Brownlow said. 7 Adelaide News.

“There are some things about this football club that I don’t like, I think it’s just the DNA of the club and what it is, the sense of entitlement it has.

“I’m proud of my football club and we’re going to do everything we can to bring them down.”

Adelaide can even lead the book with Port Adelaide if they claim victory on Saturday with 26 Showdown wins in what will be the derby’s 52nd running.
