Atkinson – Maria D. (Wines) “Chickie” Morin, 74, of Atkinson, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her home. She was surrounded by her three children.
Chickie was born March 11, 1948 and lived in Somerville, MA. She was the daughter of Richard C. and Gloria M. (Mangiacotti) Wines. She was raised and educated in Billerica, MA, where she graduated from Billerica Memorial High School. She then moved to Atkinson with her husband, Robert R. Morin, Sr., to raise her family. She has resided in Atkinson for the past 45 years.
Chickie’s true love was her family, and her greatest pleasure was taking care of her family and her home. She worked for many years as an accountant for TM Pignatiello & Co. Chickie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She adored her family and was happiest when her large offspring were around her. During her later years, she enjoyed helping to care for her grandchildren, whom she adored and had an affectionate nickname for each of them. In her spare time, she liked spending time with her friends because she had a lot of them. Many of his fun times were spent playing with the “Lunch Bunch” and its Bunco crew. She also loved girls’ weekends with her cousins. Later, she reconnected with her friends from high school, which brought her a lot of happiness. She loved to make people laugh and have fun. She will always be remembered as a good person who would help people.
Chickie finally found the love of her life on May 24, 2022. Her beloved husband of 44 years, Robert R. Morin, Sr., who died in 2012, and Chickie have spent the past ten years talking about how much he loves her. was missing. and was looking forward to seeing him again in paradise.
Chickie was also predeceased by her brother, Vincent Wines and her parents, Richard C. Wines and Gloria M. (Mangiacotti) Wines.
Chickie is survived by her three loving children, Robert R. Morin Jr. and his partner, Gina DiResta of Pelham, NH, Doreen M. (Morin) Legendre and her partner, Brian Rowe of East Hampstead, NH, and Darlene M. .(Morin) Randone and her husband, Brian of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Shane, Haley, Ryan, Fallon, Luke and Aubrey, sister and brothers-in-law: Claire C. Morin of Atkinson, NH, Richard R. Morin and his wife Elaine (Zaccardo ) Morin of Wilmington, MA, Normand E. Morin and his wife Diane Morin of Lowell, MA; cousins, Jane (Mangiacotti) and Chris Dee of Natick, MA, Nancy (Mangiacotti) Purcell of Natick, MA, and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Parish, Hampstead, NH. Interment will follow at Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, NH. There are no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held at the Atkinson County Club.
