Here’s why these organic wines are essential

HOUSTON – Hi all! Another Wine Club Wednesday served by H‑E‑B is in the books!

This week, we’re highlighting wines made at some of Italy’s top organic wineries. The first is the Fontanafredda Briccotondo Langhe Arneis, a 100% Arneis grape harvested in the largest certified organic winery in Peidmont. You may notice that this wine evokes exotic fruits and ripe pears. It is soft, sweet and full on the palate, with a crisp freshness. These flavors pair well with fish, appetizers, light starters, risotto and pasta. At $14, we think this wine is a bargain.

The second bottle is Rosso di Montalcino Col d’Orcia, of a deep ruby ​​red color with purple reflections produced in the largest organic wine farm in Tuscany. This wine has fruity aromas and pleasant tannins on the palate. It pairs perfectly with a charcuterie board and costs $23.
