Elizabeth Banks partners with Archer Roose, a leading canned wine company
Founded in 2014 by Marian Leitner-Waldman and David Walman, partners in life and in business, Archer Roose was built on shared passions and values: lively conversations, craftsmanship and the belief that we must all do our part to build a better world. Since its inception, the brand has pushed the boundaries of the wine industry by creating world-class wines in formats suitable for a modern lifestyle.
“We are delighted to have Elizabeth Banks join us as we enter the next chapter in the Archer Roose story,” said Marian Leitner-Waldman, co-founder and CEO of Archer Roose. “Archer Roose was founded on genuine relationships and pride in craftsmanship. Elizabeth embodies both of these values and we are honored to have her as our new partner and all that she brings to the table: creativity, new perspectives and a shared mission to shape the world for the better.”
“Getting to know Marian made me realize that she and I share a philosophy. She created something that resonated with me and what I value, namely conversation, connection, know-how and quality,” said Elizabeth Banks.
As a major new investor and owner of the company, Elizabeth Banks will add strategic value to the company’s creative development, both on the brand and product side.
“For me, wine is another form of storytelling,” Banks explained. “I’ve always loved wine but I wanted to make it more accessible and build a brand that would resonate with women. When I realized Marian’s bet was to put great wine in cans, I thought to my own life and all the amazing times shared with family and friends – a day at the beach, a ski trip – and how great it would be to pull a Sauvignon Blanc out of a cooler for a change.”
“Elizabeth’s commitment and authenticity, coupled with the strength of Archer Roose’s leadership team, make this a particularly compelling partnership,” added Jake Solomon of United Talent Agency (UTA), an executive at the company’s Ventures department, which brokered the deal on behalf of Elizabeth Banks. “The alternative format wine category is a young and growing market and we believe brands like Archer Roose have a unique opportunity to help define this category.”
Archer Roose and Elizabeth Banks will bring their new relationship to life through a series of videos about the start and progression of the partnership that will be launched at the end of May 2021 on Archer Roose’s social networks and on the brand’s website. They will continue to share content through their own social media channels throughout the month.
