Blankets and wine make a comeback after 3-year hiatus – GhettoRadio 89.5 FM
After almost three years, Blankets & Wine is back with the Kenyan Summer II edition scheduled for December 21, 2022
Organizers have announced the return of Blankets & Wine after a three-year hiatus due to Covid-19 disruptions.
The 2022 edition returns under the Kenyan Summer II theme and promises an authentic and magical experience for fans.
“We really went through the spin together as a people, and now we’re on the other side. It’s time to have a good time together. We all deserve to be happy, and Blankets is here to make it easy,” said Muthoni Ndonga, aka MDQ, the founder of the festival franchise.
Kenyan Summer II will be held at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Through transcontinental representation and multiple headliners, the festival brings together thoughtful musical acts from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
The show will be hosted by Nigerian Afro beats star CKay, Savara of Sauti Sol and South African star Amapiano Musa Keys.
Other artists scheduled include rising R&B stars Wendy Kay, Ethan Muziki, Watendawili and The Only Rosa.
Idolized HipHop lyricist Scar Mkadinali is on the program alongside rapper Wangechi.
The festival which started in 2008 serves as a platform for the discovery, promotion and celebration of live African music.
